You can Visit, Train or Volunteer So that we can manage the project and make sure we have the right numbers of people on site at each stage we need to know when you are coming. See below for details of how you can get involved. Visit us on Open Days Everyone is invited to our Open Days to see what is happening at the dig site. Dates for Open Days are as follows: June - Saturday 27th July - Saturday 18th August - Saturday 8th Open Days are from 10am - 4pm There is no need to register, just come along! Train for Free with us - No experience needed
This project is open for everyone to get involved, we want new comers to learn how to discover the past through simple archaeological techniques. If you are eager to have a go, you can learn how to handle and sort the finds or how to excavate. Why not try both! Once you have done a day's training you will be able to practice your new skills with a buddy to help you along. Simply complete the Training form and send it back to us to reserve your place. Dates for Training days are: Training - Finds Sorting and Handling June - Thursday 25th July - Sunday 12th August - Friday 7th Training -Excavating June - Sunday 21st July - Saturday 11th August - Saturday 1st Return the form to us on email as soon as you can to reserve your place, places are limited!

This is a community project and it relies upon volunteers to succeed. We need help in all aspects of the project, excavating, finds handling and sorting, guiding, stewarding and administration.
